Not sure if anyone else noticed, but Nishi Nippon Shinbun (西日本新聞) reported back on January 8th that the 7th International Shogi Forum will be held in Kitakyūshū City (about 50km northeast of Fukuoka) in late October 2017. This will be the first time for the Forum to be held in the Kyūshū region (southwest Japan). The venue will be the Kitakyushu International Conference Center (http://convention-a.jp/kokusai-kaigi/).
