*This move is a reasonable one, restricting uwate's attacking pieces. However, ▲歩-25 would have been a better alternative. ▲歩-24 △歩x ▲角x will be available, after which ▲角-46 can be achieved with tempo.
*Uwate could take actions in the course of these moves, but shitate can play well if the rook pawn is already extended or exchanged.
*In the actual game, uwate's △金-53 and △金-44 are good looking moves, although this kind of attack is rare.
*Incidentally, instead of ▲銀-77 in the 22nd move, shitate could also keep the bishop's diagonal open, playing with the bishop on 88.
*Uwate is making an acute action on the center. This is very instructive.
*This is a difficult position for shitate. ▲歩-24 △歩x ▲飛x in the actual game seems a little too slow.
*One idea could be to push ▲歩-54, and in reply to △金x, ▲歩-24 △歩x ▲飛x △歩-44 ▲角x64, after which ▲銀*23 and ▲歩*22, going for a decisive battle.
*△飛-51 is such a move that shows the ingenuity of uwate, while △桂-85 and △歩-65 seem to be other alternatives.
57 seems the right move, although the bishop loses its mobility.
*With △歩-14, shitate was relieved with ▲銀-56. However it was difficult for uwate to find an alternative for △歩-14.
*This is the position you asked about.
*After △金-55, ▲銀x △銀x ▲歩-24 △歩x ▲飛x △銀*34 sounds like the right sequence. Then instead of the natural-looking ▲飛-28, how about ▲歩*23?
*Uwate may well defend with △歩*22, because it would be an annoying threat for him if he leaves the pawn there.
*Then shitate can strike with ▲歩*52. If △金x, ▲歩x22+ △銀x and ▲歩*53, intending the perfect attack with △金x ▲金*42. If ▲歩*52 is replied by △飛x, ▲金*63 wins the knight. Uwate played △桂-85 because he wanted to avoid this variation.
*Although the bold will become inactive on 73, uwate doesn't have the attacking power either because he used the silver on 34.
*A gold-silver exchange is basically better for the one who obtained the gold. So shitate should be able to make the position better.
*▲銀x47 is of course normal and is a win for shitate, but what is even better is ▲桂x23+ △玉x ▲歩*24, finishing the moves to force the king's position, after which ▲銀x47 becomes decisive at the last.
*In the actual game, shitate played very well until the end as well.
*In a Yagura game in Bishop Handicap, uwate's △銀-64 formation is a very strong trial for shitate.
*The old joseki recommends ▲銀-47 formation, but this makes the bishop difficult to be utilized. ▲角-46 seems better, as in this actual game.
*However, it is more ideal to play ▲歩-24 △歩x ▲角x at a good timing, achieving ▲角-46 with tempo.
*In the actual game, uwate started the battle from the center when shitate has not finished castling. This was a scary moment for shitate.
*However, the way shitate quickly activated the right silver was very good.
*And the sabaki with ▲銀x85 and ▲角-95 was brilliant.
*Even if uwate refrained from △桂-85, a gold-silver exchange would have been better for shitate anyway.
*A very good game, where uwate's moves were also very instructive.
*Uwate's △銀-53 & △金-84 formation is easier for shitate to deal with, because the king is not protected very well. And the silver on 53 is not a very nice position both for attack and defense.
*With △金-84 form, △歩53 & △銀-54 formation is more flexible.
*It is difficult to decide whether to respond to this edge pawn push or not. Both are OK, but the way of playing should be different.
*If you respond to the edge pawn push, you are going to play slowly, restricting uwate's offense with ▲角-46 and carefully dealing with his attack.
*If you ignore the pawn push and quickly develop the pieces, you are going to attack rapidly.
*From my personal point of view, it is ideal for shitate of Bishop Handicap to attack rapidly and to win in an exchange of attacks. Therefore, ignoring this pawn push seems more proper.
*Uwate played △歩-65 here, but ▲角-46 was very acute and shitate became better. Uwate shouldn't have done this indeed.
*△飛-81 looks natural instead of △飛-83, utilizing it horizontally.
44 would be also natural.
*It is better for uwate to attack with △歩-65 when shitate has played ▲歩-35 and ▲銀-37, because uwate can chase back the bishop on 46 with △歩-45.
*If uwate plays △歩-44 and △歩-34, ▲歩-35 △歩x ▲角x is a good sabaki with tempo. The ideal outcome of this is ▲銀-36 and ▲角-46 formation.
*It is difficult for shitate to find an attack if uwate goes for repetition draw. However, shitate will never lose if he can achieve ▲銀-36, ▲角-46, ▲桂-37 formation.
*I have input an example variation.
*The idea of ▲角-46, ▲銀-57, ▲歩-75, ▲銀-76 is also very good.
*If △金x65 instead, ▲歩*66 △金-64 ▲角x △銀x ▲金*74 can occur.
*Shitate is already better here.
*△歩-55 is a move to complicate the situation, but ▲歩*24 was a good response.
*Shitate is attacking very smoothly, but △金-41 is a good endurance.
*If ▲銀-52=, △金x ▲金x △歩*51 is another good endurance.
64= is an interesting idea.
*▲歩*35 is also a candidate. If now △歩x, ▲飛x attacks the bishop. If △銀*45 on the other hand, ▲飛-39 △歩x35 ▲桂-37 is good for shitate, activating a idle piece.
*Shitate is now clearly better, as a result of his good ending attack procedure.
*△飛*76 will not work after ▲玉-88.
*Very nice ending attack procedure by shitate, even though there was a difficult point in the endgame.
*In the middle, shitate kept the advantage by attacking fiercely with the bishop sacrifice. Uwate showed a nice defense with △金-41, but shitate dealt with it in a very skillful way.
*The endgame procedure was brilliant, understanding the own king's degree of safety. It shows your high level that you think deeply on whether to respond to the edge pawn push or not.
